Pushed Off the Edge of My Sanity

I jumped off a cliff
But he made me do it
Drove the car twenty miles
Out of town to surprise me
He was always devising
Plans to make him look sharp
And make me appear blunt.

“So go ahead…”
Was what he said
“…Tip over the edge of sanity.
It’ll cause but a ripple
In the course of humanity.”
But now that I think about it
Did I jump or was I pushed?

Pushed off the edge of my sanity…
Yeah, that sounds about right.
